I have used several Pet Spot Bots over the years. If you have kids, dogs, and cats, you know that's pretty heavy usage. Now I'm at Spot Bot #3. What always gives is the hose, which tends to puncture either from the handle up or down from the connector to the device. Of course, this applies if you use a hand nozzle like we do. After using the auto cleaning feature, I like to use a magic wand to soak up any excess water that the auto setting misses. The carpet will dry much faster if you do this. Installing a new hose is fairly easy. I've added some photos to help you. You will need a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws to remove the top. Once the screws are removed the top will lift up, but be careful there is a ribbon cable attached to the control panel. I just unplugged it and put the top part aside. Then, using pliers or something similar, squeeze the spring clip from the small hose and slide it up the hose. Disconnect the small hose from the fitting. I found that the tricky part, it's pretty good there. I ended up cutting the tubing a few inches and pulling it out with pliers. (Save the small spring clip you will need to transfer to the new hose.) You can then lift the plastic end of the large hose slightly and pull it out of its holder. It's just pressed in. Now install the new part exactly where the old one was, don't forget to put the spring clamp on the small hose before you put it on the barb. Reconnect the ribbon cable, put the top on and screw it back on. Pretty basic and like new. Much cheaper than a whole new device in 15 minutes of work! See photos, they should help (I hope)
