It's slightly larger than an existing 12V socket or cigarette lighter
Installing this device is totally worth the effort. I wanted a basic battery gauge in the van and added USB charging instead of adapters. 12v outlets are plentiful in the van, I had to enlarge the original hole by about 1/8 inch. The device makes a solid impression. The threaded ring is easy to attach and easy to tighten. the connectors you needed but I saved them for another project. I would definitely agree/recommend buying this one again.
