After hearing stories of poor quality batches of these lenses compared to others from people who traded them to B&H, I was REALLY concerned about getting one from a bad batch. But maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones, because this lens is the best match for the GFX 50s; After 20 years of collecting Canon gear/glass/accessories (starting with the Kodak DCS520) I took the big leap and sold all my Canon gear to afford a Fuji system and I have NO regrets. Edge to edge sharpness. Distortion is in full swing, of course, but not too bad. The picture quality is just incredible. Is it a camera or a lens you ask? Both, as all of the lenses in this system seem to outperform the Canons I've used over the last few years (sfc results). Note; I also bought a TECHART EF adapter because it got good reviews on one of the blogs that Sigma Art lenses (EF mount) work well with the GFX 50s. Well, I got a defective unit from a whole bad batch from the manufacturer, plus a bad month came to me, and a replacement came to me for two months (stuck in customs), so I couldn't effectively test EF lenses on the GFX 50S, I VERY doubt they work and I'm skeptical of all fitted goggles that require electronic fitting but I can report positive results; why is it even mentioned here? Because if we can get the Canon glass to work on the GFX 50S then FujiFilm will undoubtedly win, Canon will have a LOT to catch up.
