Update: After almost 3 months of use I can say that this scanner has more than paid for itself and its capabilities are almost the same as my $2800 Autel. It has basically all the same tests as Autel and when I have a few minutes to tinker with the tool on different vehicles I go through the menu and see what other features are listed and let me tell you that this one Tool does so much for $500 if it breaks tomorrow i will buy another one because i don't know of anything that can do that much for so little money i still think the hardware can be improved but if you buy something else you pay too much..ok so this product has some pros and cons but the pros far outweigh the cons the hardware is just a phone an android base with a A completely different case that houses an OBD2 Bluetooth adapter. The hardware is lackluster as the phone/tool is locked without access to the play store so it really shines with access to all the Google apps I use to help me find information about vehicles and share this information with customers. The battery is quite weak with constant use of the instrument, even with the GPS turned off and the screen brightness reduced, it is quite normal that it drains by 10-15% in 20-30 minutes. Although I will say that without constant use, the battery lasted a whole day without work and looking at several cars. Where this tool really shines is with the amazing Launch X431 software. It will do a lot of things (and maybe even more) than my $2800 Autel MX908 at a much better price. This tool is already making me money and helping me fix cars. I've used it to interface with BMW, Chrysler, Chevrolet, GMC and Toyota and it had no problems showing all the modules on those vehicles and then communicating with them and not only that but running a full system scan. This is where Diagun 4 stumbles a bit: I can't set Gmail to export reports, and instead I'd have to share them on my phone or computer via Bluetooth. I'm not sure if this tool is really good for beginners or those who are unfamiliar with digging up data PIDs and can't figure out where a specific data PID is in the available data. For example, I wanted to know what the computer reads on a car that won't start and has no fuel pressure, but the fuel gauge reads incorrectly, ie is out of scale. I had to keep looking for fuel level data PIDs and found them in the EVAP data, since the EVAP system is related to fuel and fuel tank it made sense but wasn't in the general list like in my Autel and old snaps on modes . This model may be overly complex for those simply looking to retrieve codes from the vehicle's system, but the bi-directional control capabilities allow you to activate components such as fuel pumps, fans, purge valves, and window raising and lowering. , reset throttle position after cleaning and reset steering wheel angle sensors make this tool worth checking out.
