Beautiful and easy to use

We used this when our ferret seemed to be losing weight. It's super easy to make and she immediately got to work - she even started picking up her soup and pushing the plate around to show us she wanted it. However the directions for use say it is for short term use only so we discontinued it once she regained some weight - I would like to know more about the long term effects of using it as a treat as she finds it very useful liked .
