Gap fill suitable for DVD players and recorders

If you come across this model, please note that there are two versions, one for the international market and one for the USA only ( although both to the US). Want an international version: Make sure the box says the device supports both NTSC and PAL output. This ensures that you can play international discs from all regions. (You may need to look up the region hack on videohelp-dot-com, but both units I bought were natively uncoded.) If the box doesn't mention an output selection, don't buy, even at the bargain price. You get a US-only version with no built-in converter. This will limit you to discs formatted Region One, NTSC (North America). I had the odd (I think) opportunity of seeing both versions side by side in the order shop. If you see a similar ad, you may also notice that the box for the US version is SO MUCH smaller than the international one. (In fact, that's why I almost bought it - I thought it would be easier to transport, but then I noticed that the NTSC/PAL option wasn't mentioned on the US box. And indeed, after looking at some After researching online, I found out why, see above.) However, this device is an adequate stopgap. If you need an inexpensive way to access non-Region 1 discs or convert PAL to NTSC (or vice versa), you can add it to your network of entertainment devices. Some of the reviews here said. My disturbances, which have only recently appeared, are small but annoying. The compartment stays open for just a few seconds and then closes. And I have to go through a complicated shutdown and reboot process to get into the setup menu with the remote - otherwise I can only use the basic functions. afford some extra versatility where you might not want to spend a lot of money to get a universal box, this little deal fits and gets the job done. (You don't need big bucks for standalone players anymore, though. If you want a device that lets you be region-free, play PAL or NTSC discs, and play DivX and AVI files to boot, with a USB port and Data card slots that are ALSO playable, the Avayon DXP 1000 G2 is your idea - and on their website this GPX costs a little more than double.)
