Bought this for myself as a Christmas present. On this day, insert 3 brand new Energizer AAA batteries without packaging. I rarely used a backlit mirror because the light looked unnatural. Batteries were dead after a month. batteries changed. Make sure the light was on. The light is no longer used. Yesterday, 6 weeks after installing the third set of new batteries. It won't even turn on. It ALSO seems that you can only see your face clearly if you look directly in the mirror. The edges appear blurry so you might have a real 3 inch mirror to use. In my opinion this mirror is a waste of money. HOWEVER, CONAIR HAS REPLACED THIS MIRROR NOW. The screw for the battery compartment has snapped off and I can't get the screw out. And the power button won't turn on. It seems to get stuck in the off state. I HAVE NOT SPENT ANY MONEY ON THIS CONAIR PRODUCT. They replaced it for the second time and now it's been six months and the power button won't turn on. This is a total waste of money for all 3 mirrors and none of them work.
