💄 Conair Reflections Double-Sided LED Lighted Vanity Makeup Mirror: Rose Gold Finish, 1x/10x Magnification, Perfect for Flawless Makeup Application Review

We were very disappointed with this product. I ordered two mirrors and one didn't light up at all. I contacted the manufacturer and they reluctantly replaced the mirror stating "You hadn't heard of it". It worked for a week and no longer burns. The one that worked has also stopped working. Replacing the battery did not fix the problem. That is, three non-working expensive mirrors.

EVALUATION CHANGED. I changed the batteries and the light got brighter. Still not as bright as my old mirrored Conair, but better. Almost 6 months later the light is so dim I might not even turn it on. I've had conairs before and they were great. I will never buy a battery powered mirror again. I have to say that the concept is great, but the mirror itself is not. No help from support. Once the onions die I'll throw it away.

Conair is one of the best magnifying mirrors and I love the new option with a battery instead of plugging in, it makes it a lot more portable, a big improvement. BUT, the light around the mirror is much dimmer than my previous Conair and therefore much harder to see those nasty gray hairs, chin hairs that we ladies need to see to avoid embarrassment. I have noticed the difference as have my daughters. So Conair's suggestion: turn up the volume.

The light is VERY dim. The color is not brushed metal; The color is a cheap super gloss finish. They've washed out the image so you think you're getting a more polished brushed metal look, but it's actually a cheap shiny copper paint. It's very light (so feels cheap) and the bottom where the batteries go is very cheap plastic. It will probably break in a few weeks because it looks/looks so cheap, but I can't return it because of the pandemic :/

But the light is so dim you can barely see yourself - and that's with brand new batteries. I even tried it on my kitchen table with very bright overhead lighting. Not good. This mirror is relatively inexpensive. Enough LED lighting. I like that it runs on batteries. However, I refuse as the magnification is too high for such a small mirror. You have to lean very close to get a sharp view. While the magnification is good up close, if you move a little far, you'll tire of moving into and out of focus. Not practical for makeup as you have to be very close. Good price for a small mirror with reasonable lighting but too small for magnification.

I had a hard time figuring out how to open the battery door. It turns out there's a tiny screw that's pretty hard to see that needs to be removed to open the landing door. When I finally opened it, the plastic latch on the battery cover broke the first time I opened it. Fortunately, there is still enough space in the lid for the batteries. Bought this for myself as a Christmas present. On this day, insert 3 brand new Energizer AAA batteries without packaging. I rarely used a backlit mirror because the light looked unnatural.
