Much better than other "Universal" diffusers. Most of the ones I've tried either popped out of the dryer end a few times during use or didn't fit all types of hair dryers. I've also had a few that work well until the heat breaks down the plastic and they no longer stick to the dryer. It doesn't look like this one will because of the way it grabs the end of the dryer. I've used this diffuser on five different hair dryers and it stayed in place perfectly. I actually prefer it to the diffuser that comes with my salon quality dryer. It distributes the air well. It's good design in every sense. I've been using it daily for about a month, my hair is loose, moderately thick.
