Review on πŸ”Œ SIEMENS WN2060U Non-Fused AC Disconnect: Reliable Power Disconnect Solution for Residential Applications by Chris Hodges

Ignore the label on the WN2060U for a 120 volt system

The product description for the unit was for a 120 volt system and I bought 2 to two 120 volt mini split heaters -/cooling units to be installed and I had to wait quite a long time due to a supply chain issue due to the covid infection pandemic late 2021. Unfortunately the shut off sign on arrival made it clear it was 240 volts. The label shows the wire connections of line and load on one side and line and load on the other side. I realized that at 240 volts it should be exactly the same. I was very tired and angry and stomped to my computer to request a refund for both breakups which I received with a full refund upon receipt of the breakups. THEN it occurred to me that a 120 volt system could use the same circuit breaker. All I had to do was connect the neutral (white) wires to one side and the power (black) wires to the other side. Spirit. Now everything is in order. The circuit breakers I received have no sharp edges, all parts are present, they are not waterproof but are rated for outdoor use (mount high enough that snow doesn't collect on them), the male parts of the circuit breaker are sufficiently loose and the male part had to be carefully adjusted to get a good fit (the pins should be offset to the opposite side like a saw), the bezel fits tight and the door fits well but you have to clip it in when you put it on does not block. If you place it where kids can open it and pull out the handle, which is VERY easy, they can definitely electrocute themselves. The price of $43 is way too high for this product right now. Try to buy the same thing in a big store at a much lower price.
