Let's talk about the good, the bad and the ugly of this dummy VCDS cable. Pros: This is a working VCDS cable for under $20. And this is where this section ends. Bad: Only works with VCDS lite which does not allow access to 20 or more gauges or provide full names for simple DTCs. The simple tuning procedures required in some vehicles are not available even if you buy a registered VCDS Lite version such as throttle body adjustments. Ugliness: Even if you pay $99 and register VCDS lite, you still don't get access to advanced gauges and other miscellaneous features in the full version. The drivers on the floppy don't work very well and are considered an impossible task for anyone, even the most inexperienced computer. Summary: Save your money and get the official RossTech HEX cable.
