It keeps the edge sharp.

I bought 3 of these from Revain to qualify my order for free shipping. They are inexpensive and very useful for keeping your knife blades sharp. I use Lansky Crock Sticks to sharpen my knives and then keep them razor sharp with these little sharpeners. They do their job well and can be taken out for cleaning. This is a great tool for sharpening small blades like arrowheads or pocket knives, but can also be used to mend longer blades if the blade was originally sharp.
