This is a great product for growing strawberries in a small space. I purchased 20 strawberry plants and planted them as I stacked up the pots. I didn't really have to use that much soil as the space is not that large and whatever was in with the plants filled up most of it. I just had to fill in around the edges and in the middle. I do wish that the planting area was a bit larger. It almost seemed as if I had to squeeze the plants into the pots. I hope there's enough room in there for the roots, and for the plants to be able to expand some.I have my doubts.but we shall see.I was concerned about stability, so I cut a hole in the bottom tray and put a 4 foot lead pipe thru it and pounded it into the ground and then of course put each layer on top as I went with the pipe going thru each piece. The top four pots has a hole in the middle that made this fairly easy. I then placed a shepards hook thru the pipe and I'll put something else on there later. I was thinking something shiny, as I hear that something shiny would keep the birds away.So far I'm please with it, but it's only been up for 2 weeks. This is my second year growing strawberries, so we shall see.I would have given this a 5, but I'm disappointed with the pot size.
