** Attention Subaru owners! **

Update ** 7/3/20 FYI, I was talking about dome lights and thought the maps were the same so I tried again later. rzunimag. Okay I put the shade in, I had to bend both sides first (the one that "doesn't" bend managed a bit without breaking the plastic behind it, yes) then I bent the underside of one , which has bent . back a little to "catch" the point from this side. It's stuck for now. After the bumpy vibration rides, we'll see. The domes were easier to insert because both sides of the clips flexed the same wayโ€”the plastic didn't block one side like a dome. They certainly don't "snap" tight, they just seem to hold on. Again we shall see. Another fun thing. When making your Outback puddle lights / obsolete, be very careful on the driver's side and don't pull at all when he first lets go. The lamp is built into the lens. The link popped out, pulled back and got stuck in the door. I played with a wire hanger and a stick, which I spent hours notching trying to free it to reach the bottom of the door. If there isn't one. Doesn't work in my 2013 Outback. Outbacks and Legacy are the same. So now I've searched and see other Subaruers (even pre 2019) having the same problem. All other reviewers seem fine, none of the sellers fault. It would be impractical for them to test and manufacture specific lamps for each model and year. Problem: The two clamps holding the lamp have small holes with an open "cutout" at the bottom. The installed bulbs have narrow ends with a small crimp on the end to slip through the cut into the small hole. The BOM is DE3175 as is every LED I see and they all have wide ends straight to the point. By bending one of the clips (only one side can be bent) enough to seat it, it deviates enough to render it completely unusable. The hole is essentially pointing down, so yes, there is no Gouda. I'm thinking of drilling, cutting and/or soldering. I was just saying that changing a lightbulb in 3 seconds can't be easy! Freeking subaru forces you to do their signature crap. like an oil filter. heavy sigh.
