As a collector of knives, axes and axes I was very pleased with the overall craftsmanship of this axe. However, this is the first Eastwing product I have received with a small chip in the center of the blade. I got it done in half an hour's work using a quality whetstone. Use the rough side of the stone first and then finish the sharpening process with the thin side of the stone. Again, I'm surprised Eastwing let a chipped ax pass quality control. All of this also makes me wonder if the blade has been properly tempered.
