Popular, but not always easy to use

I was happy to find a fleece that didn't dull my serger blade. I used to sew phone book pages onto bias-cut pieces of fabric to stabilize them, but after a while my serger could barely cut the thread, let alone the fabric. However, there is a learning curve to working with this material. Not only will it stick to your fabric, but it will also stick to the table, sewing machine, other loose fabrics, threads, etc. It will also wrinkle and warp the fabric on contact with a hot iron, making open seams difficult to iron out. (cold iron moving fast seems to work though). When it comes into contact with water, it turns into glue and sticks everything together. I've also had issues with it shrinking for no reason (no contact with water or heat) but I live in Hawaii where there's 100% humidity 100% of the time. As soon as I got 3 feet of this stuff it turned into a giant ball and peeled off the waxed paper base. However, with time and patience I've learned to work with it and I'm glad I have a way to stabilize bias cut fabric without dulling the serger blade. Plan to order more. without blunting the overlock blade. Plan to order more. without blunting the overlock blade. Plan to order more.
