Review on Topeak Modula Waterbottle Cage 2: The Ultimate Adjustable Solution for Your Cycling Adventures by Justin Zilinskas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

OK. but all plastic versions are better.

Bought one of these as well as an all plastic version from Topeak =UTF8&qid=1396844759&sr=1-12&keywords=topeak). Need a bike bottle cage for disposable water bottles. After installing both versions on our bikes, I preferred the all-plastic model as it holds the bottles better without crushing them. It is much easier to place and remove a disposable water bottle from a plastic model. Finally, the metal version feels flimsy and less reliable compared to the plastic version. Paradoxically, I know. but the plastic version has a much more premium design ("plastic" is premium and strong, but flexible) and IMO construction compared to this metal model, which vibrates, wobbles, and tends to crush your disposable water bottles. I also found the metal model to be more difficult to set up (the little button underneath the device is hard to find and press, compared to the yellow cover on the plastic version, which was easy).

Pros
  • Fits most small and large 63-70mm bottles.
Cons
  • Obsolete model
