The best feature of this software would be to do an automatic tagging according to research field so that we can easily find those particular topics when ever I want it. You need good background knowledge of statistics before using these programs properly. If you have some basic idea about statistical techniques then definitely use them because otherwise results won't be as what is expected out come will not reach the desired level. I solved my thesis writing problem using nvivo which helped me organize all information into one place at once while working. It also gives easy access for any type of coding which allows a very detailed process compared to manual typing. This program was used to write my MPhil dissertation along with doing literature survey as well as analyzing different data sets which resulted in giving accurate conclusion. The functionality of the software is brilliant and easy to use. You can easily drag and drop the items in the tree view to create a coding framework. I like the fact that the software is available on two platforms - PC and MAC. It is quite expensive. It is a great tool to use for qualitative analysis, but it is not as good as a computerised software. For me, it is too expensive. I am using the software for my thesis research and have been able to use it to map and code the data.
