The cable is thick and seems strong, makes a very reliable connection and seems to send a slightly stronger signal to my subwoofer than the regular cable I have have used. I found that I had to turn the subwoofer's volume down by about 10% to keep it from drowning out the mids and highs. I don't think this actually improved the subwoofer's sound quality (or just slightly if it did), but it definitely increased its volume, perhaps due to the gold plating my other cable lacked. I've never noticed signal interference with my other universal cable, but I definitely have more peace of mind with this one thanks to the thicker shielding around the copper wire. ) over $100 or even $200 give you superior performance and sound quality, and they lie to you. Here's what this cable has that my regular cable didn't have: gold plating for conductivity, a connector designed for a solid connection, and a thick shield around the copper. You can't expect more from a subwoofer cable that brings a measurable benefit. Please don't waste your money; This cable has all the features that really matter. Any tangible benefit of a $100+ cable is an expensive placebo effect.
