Makes a big difference when VTEC kicks you. Seriously, test drive after installation (windows closed) I thought I might be wrong. (God, this thing is LOUD when the cam profile changes!) Mind you, it sounds great - 6k to 8krpm in 3rd and 4th gears just feels visceral. The sound of the machine is hectic, obsessive; she's just.nasty.very, VERY EVIL. That being said (and coming back to my "mistake" comment), I initially thought this might be too much for this 30-something dad living in the suburbs. (I'm happy to report that after a day or two, those feelings subsided.) As for performance gains, it's hard to say; "applied dynamometer" suggests the car is slightly faster. I think throttle response has improved as it seems to rev a little more freely. (I'll have to wait and see what happens when summer comes back to see if heat exposure is the problem.) I didn't notice any noticeable difference in fuel economy. Installation was easy and took about an hour.
