Review on 🔪 HUTSULS Leather Strop Block Compound Deluxe by Russell Robertson

I just started carving a few months ago and wanted a sling that would be (1) stable on a flat surface, (2) reliable when carving, and (3) made of quality material. Hutsul Leather Band with Compound Set - WINNER COMPLETELY! I'm not exaggerating. I SHARPEN ALL MY FLEXCUT & DRAKE KNIVES on this belt, even my Felxcut Palm Tool and Mini Draw Knife - no complaints, very happy. The best features are the dimensions of the leather (roughly 3" x 8" if I'm not mistaken), which allows more surface area to sharpen the cutting edges of my tools, and most importantly, the non-slip silicone. / Rubber pins integrated into the wooden base prevent the sling box from slipping on the tabletop. If I'm not mistaken, I'm also very glad that buying from the Hutsuls helps to support the Hutsul people and the culture of the Ukrainian highlands (see Sergei Parajanov's film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" for an artistic introduction ) - how great it is to support traditional artisans and women who provide woodcarvers with the quality tools they need.
