This substrate cleaner works very well when water runs through the pipe. Hose clamp helps with very fast flow. It can do a very quick job just for water changes. I think it would be helpful to have a guide on how to get the siphon working. I had a hard time starting the siphon even while pumping up the bulb and it pointed in the right direction. Maybe a user error? My tank is 55 gallons long. Saltwater and I bought a large siphon. It comes with enough hoses! Seems pretty big for this tank but still works well.
