I grew up in Athol, Massachusetts where Starrett Tools is located. When I was young I was a machinist and all my tools were Starretts. After 60 years I still had a 1" Starrett micrometer and still use it today. So when I needed 2" to 3" micrometers I naturally wanted to use Starrett tools but the cost difference between them and Anytime tools let me me hesitating. , a retiree and carpentry hobbyist to spend that extra money so I'm betting on buying Anytime Tools products. They arrived the other day and the first thing I did was check their accuracy with my trusty Starrett To compare microns I have a very good agreement, within 0.001". I tested the 1" standard that comes with the kit and was also able to verify the accuracy of the 1" and 2" microns I couldn't test the 3" micrometer. The quality of the mics was excellent. I couldn't tell them apart from my old Starrett mic. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
