We ordered a size up as recommended after reading the reviews; However it was too big for my 4 year old who normally wears 5t. The elastic doesn't go all the way around the waist just me in the front. So it's really impossible to adjust it to fit his tiny waist. However, the material appeared to be of good quality. As a result, we saved up for a clean year and bought something at the store for that year. I recommend ordering one size down for a perfect fit, or ordering the right size for a looser fit (if your waist is medium/higher than average).
