At the moment, the ONLY native fast prime lens in the EOS M system. If there were any other "EF-M 31mm f/1.8 STM" or "EF-M 53mm f/1.8 ST" in the system - one could argue and now this is the lens that every owner of EOS M cameras simply must have. Pros: 1. very compact; 2. high optical quality; 3. aperture; 4. a fairly universal focal length, which in many cases allows you not to take any other lenses with you; 5. inexpensive. Cons: The focus ring is very wide, it occupies almost the entire body. As a result, the lens is inconvenient to install on the camera and remove from it. It would be better if the focus ring was made twice as narrow (it would be no less convenient to use it), increasing the area for which you can hold the lens during installation.
