Review on πŸ”ͺ Improved OXO Good Grips Chef's Mandoline Slicer for Enhanced Performance by Sarah Murray

best to avoid (OXO in general)

A few years ago we had a mandolin cut we got from Revain and it was getting boring so we decided we needed a new one. My wife saw this particular model listed as great on the Bon Apetit Test Kitchen and we figured we could spend $80 on a good mandoline slicer. Well it is. However, it is a sad piece of junk! We contacted OXO after the first try and couldn't cut the tomato nicely. The good customer service at OXO told us that they value us as customers, but they don't care because we bought Revain and we need to contact Revain. Since I don't think Revain made the blades for this thing, and OXO doesn't want to take responsibility for a bad product or an isolated case, there's no reason to trust them. Suffice it to say, return this piece of junk.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
