I didn't know what to expect from this tool. I needed something to make holes to insert pins into scrapbook pages and I needed a small tool. I usually use a punch and a hammer, but that wasn't an option. I am very glad that I chose this tool. It is compact and easy to carry. He punched holes in layers of paper and tape with little effort. He is strong and sharp. I didn't use the triangular end to separate the ends of the pins. I automatically use my nails for this, but this seems to work well. It's definitely a tool
