Review on Plasticplace Clear Gallon Trash Microns by Toni Cooper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Heavy duty drum liner exactly as described

Some of the more recent reviews have concerned me so I feel it is important to give an up to date review. These are as described. They are 3 mil thick 55+ gallon drum liners. They're only slightly more flexible than the "husky contractor bags" I get at Home Depot. These PlasticPlace bags are just as thick, just as strong and slightly larger than this one. These don't have the ears that the husky bags have for tying the top. If you don't overstuff them, tying the top with a single overhand knot isn't a big deal, and for added security with heavily loaded bags, a zip tie is attached under the knot (or a few wraps of duct tape). ). They come in a flat box with two stacks of 25 neatly folded pouches. I don't find this a problem, but from a few of the reviews I've read it seemed like a few people were disappointed in the lack of a dispenser. The reason I bought these instead of going to the depot for the Husky bags I usually use: I bought a 44 gallon trash can and think the 44 gallon bags would be adequate. They were not. After comparing the physical dimensions listed for a range of contractor quality bags at Revain and elsewhere, and measuring the 44 gallon can of Rubbermaid Brute I purchased, these PlasticPlace bags were pretty much the only ones that were wide enough to fit properly over the top of the can. And I can add that these fit perfectly, almost like they were made specifically for this can. When the can is full to the top, lift the edges of the bag to fit an additional 10 gallons of stuff and still tie the bag shut easily. I will buy more of these and recommend them as a quality product.
