I used to work in a shop so I'm pretty picky, but I didn't want to pay for blue with a brand name. It was everything I wanted and more! I've been using this stand for almost a year. I converted my fork with it and kept a pretty strong 29" full suspension enduro bike. I love that the bracket has a serrated clip. You let gravity choose the angle and then you fix it. It stays completely where you put it. I know there is some mixed information on hanging a bike from a dropper. Here are some tips for any beginner to ensure you don't break your favorite seat post: 1.) Fully extend the seat post. If you jack up the bike even with the seatpost depressed, you put stress on all the seals and hardware inside. It is designed to withstand downward forces, not upwards. When it's extended everything is in contact with other parts and it's stabilized so you don't pull a vacuum in. 2.) Leave the swing arm open when hanging up the bike! Trying to keep the bike straight with just the seatpost creates a lot of torque at the seatpost. Of course, let it hang when you paste it.3.). Simply tighten the sleeve just enough to make good contact with the pen. You should not dent the inside of the rack as it will not seal properly with the outer bushing, catching on dirt and grime and greatly reducing its lifespan. NEVER CLAMP THE CARBON FRAMES! Go ahead and secure the carbon seatpost (let gravity dictate the angle, of course), but for love's sake...leave the frame alone. It's not designed to withstand the pressure at those angles. It will probably be fine a few times, but I wouldn't do it. This rack has some nice soft contact points in the clamp. The clamp is also operated by a lever rather than just a wing nut. This means you can keep the same tension setting once you hit it, and you can quickly put the bike on and off. Nobody wants to turn a wing nut while supporting their two-wheeled horse. Love the little tool shelf and how everything stacks up. I didn't use a barrel wheel/steering stabilizer but I think it's a nice addition. The stand is lightweight yet very durable. The best portable work stand I've ever seen! I'm wary of buying things with plastic parts (because they dry out and break in the Colorado air), but this thing seems pretty damn strong. I saw a review that said his bike was spinning on a stand. I haven't had any problems with that to be honest, but it's easily fixed with a drill and a long threaded bolt (or even a long stud). This stand is the best! If you need a gift for someone who rides a bike (or someone who lives with you and works on all of the family bikes) look no further.
