Review on Tailgate Universal Monitors 2012 2014 Hatchback by Kyle Smithlin

UPDATE: The original device checked didn't last maybe 2 months before giving a garbled signal. The display would change with certain movements or bumps (sometimes showing the whole picture), so I assumed something was loose inside the actual device. I wanted to keep the same wiring harness so I bought a different one. A few months later I finally got around to installing it. When tested, the second block was dead and didn't show anything. I connected the original device and returned the distorted signal. Now I've bought two $50 cameras that don't work at all. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The camera works well and looks pretty decent. I connected it to the reverse lights on my 2014 Focus ST and added an RCA jack to my standard APIM connector. Visibility is excellent during the day, not bad at night either with LED reversing lights. However, the license plate LEDs are dim and flickering. When the stock LED light is reconnected it works fine so I know it's not my car. Although I installed the camera a few months after purchase, the seller was very friendly when I contacted him.
