Review on Black Finish Yamaha NS-6490 Pair of 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers by Alexander Bambang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

Acoustics plays in conjunction with the Pioneer vsx 415 receiver. I don’t understand those who write that there is little bass and so on. What for in general there to climb. I understand that "our hands are not for boredom." If there are not enough frequencies. For this, there are acoustics more expensive. Personally for myself I took this acoustics. So, how tired of the excess bass. This pair delivers bass in moderation. Maybe I'm getting old. I just want at least some kind of musicality for a reasonable price. These columns have been produced for more than a dozen years. Because they gained popularity. In theory, before taking these speakers. It is better to listen to them in the cabin if possible. And to take them in order to then climb there in order to improve something. Maybe it's better to change the amplifier, rearrange the room, Also choose a potentially listening place for them. Actually, this is the second time I have purchased a Yamaha ns 6490. Before that, when there was the same pair. I put phase inverters in them. Offhand dimensions were somewhere in diameter 70-90, in length 100 mm. Bass was added not significantly. The previous pair played in conjunction with the Odyssey 010 amplifier. So it all depends on the amplifier or receiver. So, to each his own and his own sound. Everyone has their own way of perceiving sound with their ears.

Pros
  • Small size, 200 mm woofer, aesthetic appearance, moderate bass. Now at least there are no vibrations in the room. Before that, there were Yamaha ns 8390. But one of the speakers stopped sounding medium and high-frequency speaker. By the way, I already bought a second pair.
Cons
  • Is it just the big one, the box. Hesitated to carry from the bus stop to the house. There are no other shortcomings. It would not hurt if such acoustics were produced in different colors.
