There's a little water-soluble sizing on the bags as shipped, but a quick rinse in warm water removed it, and the instructions direct you to do this before using them.The first photo is the smaller 16" x 11" bag in an 8 quart pot. All of the pot is available. The second photo is the smaller 16" x 11" bag in a taller 8 liter pressure cooker pot. It reaches the bottom of the pot but doesn't lie flat on the bottom. The last photo is the larger 18" x 16" bag in a 16 quart pot. All of the pot is available.My primary uses are for teas and stock broths. These are easily fine enough to remove all but the most insignificant particles from the liquid.Very happy with this purchase.
