I bought these for my daughter she is 4 years old for use at the beach and in the pool. Well, that's not an option with a virus right now, so we tested them in a blast tank to see how they behaved in the water. They are great in the water, the only problem is outside. They fit well and don't slip off your feet at all. She skated in that little pool for over an hour. They drained quickly when she came out, and she said they didn't feel heavy or water-filled. The problem is that when worn for a long time, the back piece rubs on the ankle and leaves a small red mark. This is not a problem until the shoes have been worn for more than an hour or so. She wore them beautifully around the house for a while. I can't imagine wearing them normally for that long. They came immediately and her little mark was gone by morning. No bruises or anything like that. I will still give them 4 stars because she loves them and can wear them herself. They work in the water, which is what they are really designed for. I would suggest checking your baby after a while to make sure he isn't rubbing. They dry quickly, leave them on the fan and they will dry the next day. They weigh almost nothing and take up almost no space. As a parent I really like them and I still let them use them, I just have a band-aid in case they rub again.
