I really liked the product description

SELECTION: I liked the product description. I have a Verizon DSL and was concerned about getting a compatible modem router. After narrowing down the number of devices I looked at, I chose this one based on the good reviews and because it was the most obvious that it was compatible. INSTALLATION: More than two hours ugh. Even though everything was connected to the correct cables as shown in the diagram, the system did not recognize my computer. If this happens to you in the setup wizard, don't worry about troubleshooting. The bottom of the three options on the 'could not be found' error screen is something along the lines of 'none of the above' and this series of prompts allows you to enter your old physical Wi-Fi address and the system tune in like this. If you have a PC, press the Windows/Start button, type CMD in the program and file search box (you may have a Run option first) and press Enter. When you get to the black command box, type "ipconfig /all". This gives you a lot of information. I didn't know what to type so I went through trial and error. The WLAN adapter for Wireless Network Connect 2 Physical Address worked for me. First I chose the physical ethernet address. It didn't work, and the one that did described it as a Microsoft Virtual Wifi miniport address. FUNCTION: My old WiFi was ten years old and kept dropping the connection. I've been using this device for a week and nothing has fallen, so I'm satisfied. It also looks like it's pretty easy to install a wireless printer and other such devices.

Pros
  • . Good that
Cons
  • is also stupid
