Good thing this teapot doesn't rust on the inside. I use this kettle once a day to boil water for tea. My water comes from a well and leaves a mineral residue on most of my stainless steel cookware, including this kettle, but it cleans up easily and shows no signs of rust. This was the main thing when I bought it from Belanco who claimed it wouldn't rust and so far it's true. The only issue I had was the handle and whistle component wobbling and I'm worried that if it gets any looser and falls apart when I boil hot water it will be a safety issue. I will be in touch with Belanco to make sure this isn't a problem, other than that I love the simplicity of this kettle and the sound of the whistle is reminiscent of my childhood.
