I don't know why but it doesn't mix no matter what I do. It comes without a rake, so you have to figure it out yourself, no problem for me personally. If you don't have a rake, drive a few rows of nails into the wood and use them. I usually cut off the long strands with a razor and then use the finest grade sandpaper to sand the rest. I'm sure I have it where it needs to be, it just doesn't load well like cotton or sisal.
