A similar pair of welding gloves that I used to work in an outdoor pizza oven (open flames and high temperatures) worked well, but gradually stopped working because the seams on the palms were melting . These gloves look better, the finger seams are pulled back to avoid direct contact. The cuffs on the mittens fit me but can be a little tight for larger wrists. I like the shiny blue leather trim because it makes the gloves easy to spot and signals they're for serious hot work.
