I got this for a portable workstation in a building complex where I'll be in one place for a few days but then need to move - this setup really works best for a dual monitor configuration from a laptop that fits easily in my bag . My Dell M4800 doesn't have USB-C, but I got power from a laptop USB-A port (which doesn't deliver 3 amps) and it works fine, connecting to mHDMI via HDMI. I did USB-C power delivery directly from another laptop, but I liked that no power was required. Overall, the 1080p60hz panel is good enough for a second monitor or portable gaming monitor.
