I'm a big fan of timers and use them for everything from work to workouts. I have some fancy electronic ones and they tend to stop working while mechanical ones like these can last for many more years. As with everything else, this means you first wind up to 60 seconds and then wind back down to whatever time you want. The design here is great, with a strong magnet and a nice stand. The display is easy to read from a medium distance. The case is very durable and should last forever, but I'll let you know. What's missing is a volume or mute lever, which would be nice as the ring is too loud to use with other people. Otherwise highly recommended.
