This is a really good diagnostic tool, it's great for electricians. I got it because the water shorted my system so I got it to check where the short was and it was pretty good at locating it and getting my car running again. It comes with an extra extender which is great because yeah for some reason your card dies in the middle of the road where you can park next to it and you have to park another car behind it so you can actually use that car's battery . to turn this on and see where the short is and if you have a truck or a very long car the extender can get you in front of your car. There are two ways to power this: from the battery's negative and positive terminals, or from the cigarette lighter socket.
