I ordered this not knowing it no longer comes with Nest thermostats (I remember it came with my Nest E -thermostat was supplied). However, when it arrived I discovered that the underside of my NEW Google Nest thermostat had grooves that screws were supposed to fit in, which they don't. The diameter of the screw head is larger than the intended space, and the substrate will not snap by oversize. Now this baseplate can work well with the old Nest E-Thermostat (although I have it, I didn't want to take it). check separately if they are compatible) but I know the screws DO NOT WORK with the newer GOOGLE NEST THERMOSTAT.
