Good price but problems

I'm not a professional but I love making art. I liked that this is a good price for the amount of paper you get. The feel of this paper reminds me of cardboard, but it's not. It handles conditioners well and I've used it in practice. I've included some photos of what I'm practicing to show you that most of the techniques I'm learning work well with this paper. I don't even have to glue it, it doesn't bend or warp. I only work with small areas so take that into account. I will work on the area, let it dry and come back to it or switch to another small area. I also halved it to use in smaller sections. It feels really smooth like there is a coating on it. It differs from many other watercolor papers in that you can easily feel the fibers and porosity of the paper. The fibers cannot be felt. I tried to draw with colored pencil over watercolor but couldn't do it with this paper. It's not that it's impossible, especially when you know what you're doing better than I do. It's well textured which doesn't help with fine detail or blending with pencils as you have to press really hard to smooth out the hills on this paper. I have also included other brands that I have tried. So you can see the comparison and form your own opinion. More like cardboard, Ucreate is smooth and flexes a bit. 140 pounds of paper. This creates puddles of water that run off the side, but as you practice the wet-on-dry technique it's nice to see how detailed you can get. Bellofy A-5 Cold Pressed Watercolor 130 lbs. It has great absorbency. He doesn't like being overworked a lot or having a lot of punches. This requires details. It has a gray tint rather than a bleached white. Mixed media canson really messes up a lot with most techniques. It can work, just keep this in mind for markers, inks and crayons. The GenCrafts paper was a small trial paper that came with the paint set. i love this paper It's highly absorbent, won't soak or absorb water, and applies paint without smearing if you don't want your paint bleeding from a wet workspace. The cold-pressed paper of the Paul Rubens blocks is very structured. It mixed where I hadn't wet the paper, so wet on dry isn't very good. I had to clean it up as best I could with Magicfly crayons. Thanks for reading and please let me know if this helps with a thumbs up. I also try to browse other art you can see on my profile.
