was damaged I got this for two reasons. One for playing around with ADS-B signals and also experimenting with it as a ham radio receiver. Installing the USB drives for this was the only part of the setup that took any time at all. Once that was done, I could easily use it for both purposes. With the included antenna and rtl1090, I can see planes on the plane plotter about 40 miles from my location. With HDSDR, it is well suited for receiving signals in a variety of frequencies and modes. Of course I will use a different antenna for some of the RF frequencies that interest me. I've just received an LNA and bandpass filter for the ADS-B bands and look forward to improving the already impressive performance of this device for the purpose.
