We bought this item while we were expecting a new puppy. I bought the smallest size and when our pup finally arrived he was too big. Our dog weighs 7 kg. I then bought a smaller, cheaper one at a local pet store, anticipating that our dog would eventually outgrow this harness. I was walking my dog today (literally the third time I've used the included leash) and the leash just snapped. He didn't even pull. Now he only weighs 9 pounds!?! I would have sent it back but my "refund window" was closed. Not happy about that. General. I'm sure once he fits in the harness he'll be able to work on a better leash, but this thing is described as a 'tough job'. How does a heavy duty leash break on a 9 pound dog?
