It works perfectly

Just finished assembling the Dan-A4 v4 case and the Asus X470-I board. I used a board (Ebay) so there was no thermal pad under the NVMe heatsink. The NVMe 960 Evo sat idle at 77 degrees, and any little request would bring it down. The drive heats up to 115 degrees (RED) when running the Crystal Mark benchmark. After installing just one of the thermal pads (if you add more than one, you can actually force it to insulate heat rather than dissipate heat), the same drive idles at a comfortable 55 degrees, peaking at 84 degrees. Big improvement. Note that the Dan-A4's case is tiny and lacks adequate ventilation. I am 100% sure that if I add another fan to the NVMe heatsink, I will experience even higher temperatures on my NVMe drive. However, also note that NVMe drives work best when they are hot. Just not TOO hot. Hope that helps. Recommend this thermal pad for NVMe usage.
