I am making furniture from a recycled barn. It is fantastic when fitting visible hardware such as hinges and door handles. The deep carving provides excellent grip on hardwood. If you're careful, you can disassemble (to finish) and reassemble the hinges and links without losing your grip. Phillips sockets are deep and accurate - you don't need to use extra force to keep the screwdriver (or power screwdriver) from "slipping" out of the grooves. The steel has to be the right hardness - I've screwed dozens without removing a single screw. I will buy them again (and again).
