Lousy instructions, bezel is junk, install 2007.5 Silverado with Bose Atoto radio, install

Installed Silverado 2007.5 with Bose, installed dual din Atoto head unit and instructions say to use Pioneer connections, I found that 1) The faceplate kit that came with it was complete rubbish, didn't fit properly and I haven't used it, bought a Metra kit instead and they are much better. 2) Crux plays a video that looks like it's plug and play with inspirational music, but again it's not true - everything installed and connected as instructed and 1) Bose didn't work, 2) steering wheel controls didn't work . After pulling out the radio and tracing each wire and reading instructions online for hours, I finally got down to the nitty gritty - turns out I had to cut the 3.5mm connector and plug the wires straight into the wiring harness (not in the instructions!). The red wire goes to the steering wheel plus control wire and the white to the steering wire and the black to ground. I think I'll stick with metra or pac from now on as it was total bullshit due to a lack of updated instructions from Crux's side. Everything worked fine after that but how much time it took and the frustration was off the charts. Good instructions after calling the technician who unfortunately was born without personality but in his defense really helped me and his company as this unit had to be returned to the seller.
