I've had several MacBooks but missed the MagSafe connector when I upgraded to a MacBook Pro USB-C. This magnetic USB-C adapter brings back the functionality of the MagSafe connector. I no longer have to worry about my MacBook falling to the floor because someone accidentally kicked the power cord. The issue I noticed was that post-sale, the braided USB-C cable, due to its added weight, caused the magnetic adapter to detach from the attachment point when the MacBook was moved. Switching to a standard Apple cable fixed this problem. I also noticed that the adapter gets warm when in use. Although I haven't tried it yet, an additional adapter should help to adapt USB sticks for use on my laptop.
