This is the best crystal deodorant I have found. Don't let the word "crystal" confuse you - in fact it's a salt crystal, as if they broke off large chunks from a salt rock, flattened them and put them in this dispenser :) Of course it's good. It's probably not done right. But you get the idea. The best part about using this product is that it doesn't stain my white shirts. These stains are caused by your sweat mixing with the chemicals in regular deodorant. (By the way, try soaking the wrong side of your shirts in white vinegar before washing, that should keep stains from appearing. But who wants to do that every time they wash their shirts?) I find its deodorizing properties more so or are less the same as any commercial deodorant, except for the floral scent found in most [female] deodorants. So now, when I've had a particularly sweaty day and feel a little smelly, I smell like Eau de Bette Blue, not Bette Blue plus smelly buds. This is preferable. I always keep deodorant in the shower and apply it before drying my armpits. This is the easiest and fastest way. My armpits are usually dry when I get dressed. However, be careful not to close the lid between uses. If you don't and have to drop it, the crystal will crack or shatter and you won't really be able to hold it under your arms afterwards. I broke more than I used. It will last a long time if you don't break it. Or you can do what I did: endure the clumsiness and just buy 6 travel-size (2.25 ounce) packs. I prefer ease of use with the large size, but I haven't given up on one of the small ones yet. And when I do that, I have several backups waiting in the closet.
