Review on πŸ”² Fiskars X-Large Squeeze Punch: Hexagon Shape Crafting Tool by Tara Ford

What a useful little gadget!

I'm studying EPP (Paper Piecing) and don't want to buy pre-cut hexagons as I generally recycle. As I stumbled upon this I looked at other models and this one seemed to have the control I needed to ensure the pieces were cut correctly and to get the most out of the mailboxes and magazine covers I use for hexagon stamping use. It's great to be able to SEE the perforated plate to line up the cut and then look at it as you pull the handles together. Cutting out lots of hexagons is tedious, but not as tedious as cutting out hand-printed hexagons, so I'll leave it at that. Guys, use this junk mail! Useful advice for EPP enthusiasts. If you use recycled paper materials like I do, use the straight outside edge of the letterboxes/paper to create the hexagon halves as fills and pattern edges. You can easily align the paper and press down just enough to get good alignment before actually cutting the paper.

Pros
  • Hole Punch
Cons
  • Socket Required
